Ashford is a town in the borough of Ashford in Kent, England. In 2005 it was voted the fourth best place to live in the United Kingdom.

The Market Ashford is an historic market town, with its market charter granted in 1243. Cattle and produce were sold in Lower High Street. Today market stalls come to the town on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and sell a range of products and produce.
St Mary's Church
Dates from around 1250, but a Church on this site was mentioned in the Doomsday Book. The churchyard houses the Town’s Museum in what was the first Grammar School in Ashford founded in 1635. The Tourist Information Centre is next to the Museum.
Part of Medieval Ashford and previously known at the 'Shambles' Middle Row contains an interesting and historic collection of buildings. Its past history contained businesses of fish, corn and butchery stores in this area.
63 High Street dates from at least 1490. The house was left to the Widow of a local landowner Sir John Fogge. A small town house with carved Timbers.

The Fountain and Railway Heritage
Lower High Street - with a wheel at its heart to commemorate Ashford's railway heritage. The Railway came to Ashford in 1842 and linked Ashford to London. Railway engines were made in yards in the town.
Ashford had two stations, The Domestic Station which serves 5 lines and International Station which carries the Eurostar Service. The High Speed train service commenced July 2009, shortening the journey time to London to just 39 minutes.
Commemorates the people of the town who gave their lives in two World Wars, There are floral displays of Ashford's crest and those of its twin towns of Fourgeres and Bad Munstereifel. A peaceful spot in the heart of Ashford.
